Raising the Sparks with Rabbi Gedaliah Fleer

The Kabbalah teaches us that Divine Will is the life-force of Creation, eternally sustaining all existence. Yet Creation, in all its beauty and mystery -- passion and aspiration, impulse and complexity -- masks the very Will and Intent that sustains it. We yearn to transcend our limited perceptions. Some may, in brief moments of exultation, glimpse the light of G-d's Presence, but this lofty light and awareness cannot be captured and its impact quickly fades. The sparks of G-dliness scattered during the act of Creation cry to be raised back to their Source. How and why were they torn away? What can we do to lift them back up? And how will doing so improve our lives?
