Social Justice Beit Midrash
First meeting, Tuesday November 17th, 7:30 - 9:00 pm
"Which is greater, learning or doing? . . . Learning is great because learning leads to doing." (Talmud)
As learning leads to doing, Nehar Shalom is inaugurating a social justice Beit Midrash. Inspired by Jewish text learning and by resource people and activists in the field, we will map our own way from learning to doing, creating a social justice agenda and action plan.
Meeting on Tuesday evenings, we will determine schedule and frequency together. The goal is to join Jewish learning and activism for a better world. Regardless of background in Jewish learning or activism, please join us! For questions or to let us know that you are coming, please click here.
