ORCHARD COVE EXPERTS LOOK AT WELLNESS IN THE PERSON WITH DEMENTIA, TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 1:00 PM

(SHARON, MA) –A personalized approach to wellness has a positive impact on life for people at any leve lof cognition. On Tuesday, February 16, at 1:00 pm, Orchard Cove Social Worker Mindy Grodofsky-Gilmore, LICSW, and Orchard Cove Fitness Director and Vitalize 360 Coach Susan Flashner Fineman will lead a discussion of, Wellness in the Person with Dementia, as part of the Our Partners in Health (OPH) series. The free community education program will be held at the Sharon Council on Aging (COA), 219 Massapoag Avenue, Sharon, Massachusetts.

Sponsored by the Sharon Public Library (SPL) in partnership with the Sharon Council on Aging, Orchard Cove, and the OPH collaborative, the 90-minute interactive program will look at ways to support individuals with memory loss and honor their mental and physical interests, capabilities and passions. It is free and open to the public.

Grodofsky-Gilmore has served as Orchard Cove’s social worker for Independent and Enhanced Living Residents for 17 years. She holds a Master’s degree from the Hunter College Graduate School of Social Work and works closely with Orchard Cove’s Vitalize 360 team to support residents in leading their best lives. 

Flashner Fineman is Orchard Cove’s fitness director and coach of the award-winning Vitalize 360 program. In that position, she uses a proactive approach to lifelong wellness and engages, challenges and inspires her clients to live full, healthy, vibrant lives.

Our Partners in Health is a collaborative comprising the Sharon Public Library in partnership with the Sharon Council on Aging, Epoch Senior Healthcare of Sharon, Hebrew Senior Life, Health & Social Services Consortium, Inc. (HESSCO), Jewish Family and Children’s Services, Orchard Cove, White Oak Cottages, and Your Elder Experts.
