Yom HaShoah Observance at Rivier University, Nashua, NH Sunday, May 1 at 7 PM in the Dion Center on Clement Street Featured speaker: Fred Feldman, Holocaust survivor NASHUA, NH - Temple Beth Abraham (TBA), in collaboration with Rivier University, is honored to welcome Holocaust survivor Fred Feldman of Kensington, NH. Fred’s parents, Mendel and Frieda Feldman, were in their home village of Sokolow Podlaski in September, 1939, when the German army overran Poland and occupied their town. On Sunday, May 1 at 7 p.m., at Rivier’s Dion Center on 16 Clement Street in Nashua, NH, Fred will speak on the personal events from his and his family’s life while they were in constant pursuit of safety with hope for survival and a better future. Fred grew up in Indiana, attended college at the University of Chicago and received a PhD in biochemistry at Purdue University. He was a scientist in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries where he recently retired as a Chief Science Officer. He and his wife Rhoda now reside in Kensington, NH, with family in Burlington, MA. The program is free and open to the public. No RSVPs are necessary. A question-and-answer session and a candle-lighting ceremony memorializing the victims of the Holocaust will follow the presentation.
