Martin Luther King Service featuring Dr. William Smith, Director of the National Center for Race Amity

Kahal B'raira is Greater Boston’s congregation for Humanistic Judaism.

We have offered a nontheistic alternative in contemporary Jewish life since 1975. Join us for Sunday School for Pre-K through 9th graders and adult programming and service.

Our Martin Luther King Service and Program will feature Dr. William Smith, who directs the National Center for Race Amity based at Wheelock College. Dr. Smith believes that “race relations in America will not substantially improve unless the public discourse on race moves beyond the blame/grievance framework to one that recognizes and celebrates our ability to overcome racial prejudice through association, amity, and collaboration.”

The morning begins at 9:15am and is held at the Fayerweather Street School at 765 Concord Avenue, Cambridge. Children are always welcome to visit the Sunday School during Adult Programming.
