Description:

THE JEWISH WOMEN’S ARCHIVE TO CELEBRATE 18 YEARS OF
CHANGING THE CONVERSATION ABOUT JEWISH WOMEN’S ROLES IN HISTORY

Honoring Founding Director Gail Twersky Reimer and Judge Nancy Gertner,
and welcoming Executive Director Judith Rosenbaum,

Sunday, September 14 in Boston, MA.

Boston/Brookline, MA—18 years ago, the Jewish Women’s Archive (JWA) launched in a basement in Brookline, MA.  Its commitment: to uncover, chronicle and share the stories of Jewish women. Now, JWA has grown into a national non-profit and the world’s largest source of material about and voices of Jewish women, serving more than 1.2 million people each year—still based in Brookline. JWA welcomes its friends and supporters to its 18th anniversary celebration, taking place on Sunday evening, September 14, 2014, at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston, MA.

JWA’s celebration will honor the leadership of Founding Director Gail Twersky Reimer, Ph.D., who steps down from her position at the end of the summer, and welcome Executive Director Judith Rosenbaum, Ph.D. JWA will also honor the achievements and daring of retired Federal Judge Nancy Gertner, now a Harvard Law professor.
