Join us for our October SeniorsConnect! meeting when we hear from local author Dr. Michael Chapman and discuss his recent publication of Granite Cities, Yankee Heroes, American Dreams: A National History of the Bunker Hill Monument. Get to know this iconic landmark visited by thousands of people each year and understand its role in local and national history.

About our Guest:

Michael Chapman received his Ph.D. from Boston College in 2006 and instructs courses on U.S. foreign relations, American and world history, military history, the Vietnam War, the history of terrorism, and the Spanish Civil War, as well as graduate seminars on writing dissertations. Unifying these teaching interests is research into the tension between nationalism and multiculturalism, the diplomatic origins of conflict, and the demystification of nationally received wisdom.

About SeniorsConnect!

Seniors Connect! is a new group at the Vilna Shul especially for seniors in the Boston area who are looking to connect with other seniors for creative activities and resource sharing. We gather for compelling discussions and events that are relevant to our needs and life experiences.

The Vilna Shul is a 5 minute walk from the Charles/MGH stop on the Red Line and an 8 minute walk from the Park Street stop on the Green Line. See the Vilna Shul's directions page for details.

RSVPs are appreciated. Email Jessica Antoline, Program Manager, at jessica@vilnashul.org or call (617) 523-2324.

As we are in the process of restoring our historic space, it is not yet fully accessible to persons with disabilities. If you need assistance to gain access to our building, please let us know and we will happy to help. For all other questions and concerns please contact Jessica.
