 The Fall of the Soviet Union and Its Impact on Soviet JewsTuesday, December 9, 7:00 pm, Newton Free Library, 330 Homer St., Newton, MA: Join us for a panel discussion that will explore the circumstances surrounding the collapse of the Soviet Union and look at how Jews of the former Soviet Union have survived and even thrived. The panel will include Joshua Rubenstein of Harvard's Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies; Ann Levin, Chair of the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) Dnepropetrovsk Kehillah Project; Alan Shuchat, Wellesley College Professor and Genealogist; Alderman and Author David A. Kalis, moderator.
