Michael Lemish will speak about his most recent book , “Forever Forward: K-9 operations in Vietnam War”, as well as his time as a military dog handler. Forever Forward is the first in depth account of K-9 operations during the Vietnam War. The 4,000 dogs that served with our men in Vietnam in every service branch are America’s unsung heroes. America’s dog teams averted over 10,000 casualties and worked as scouts, trackers, sentries, mine and tunnel detectors.
Michael is a board member of the Space Coast War Dog Association, and has contributed to documentaries that have appeared on the History Channel, PBS, BBC, The Discovery Channel, and in Histories Mysteries.
Starring our show will be the now retired bomb sniffing army dog, serial number N340, Lucy, a German Shepherd and a veteran of Afghanistan. |
