Description:

Three of the world's top ten harmonica players accompanied by five legendary blues artists and bands will be performing in a star-studded event in Stoughton. Ahavath Torah Congregation will be hosting the Cure Your Winter Bluesfest on Sat., January 17 at 5:30 PM. The evening will featured Vinnie Serino and Boston Baked Blues, Danny Klein, Rick "King" Russell and the Cadillac Horns, James Montgomery, Jerry Portnoy, and the Temple Horns, appearing in one star-studded evening. Beer, wine and snacks will be available for purchase. Tickets for this events are $35 in advance and $45 at the door. The proceeds from the concert will be shared with ALYN Hospital, Israel's premiere comprehensive pediatric and adolescent orthopedic rehabilitation center.

The lineup is a who's who powerhouse of legendary Boston blues talent. Boston Baked Blues, fronted by Vinny Serino, is one of Boston's best blues bands, and a mainstay of the blues scene for nearly twenty-five years. The band is a winner many times over of the Boston Music Awards. One of New England’s preeminent blues masters, Rick Russell has been described as “The Kingpin of the Blues” by the Boston Globe. Danny Klein was the co-founder and bassist for the J. Geils Band. James Montgomery is nationally renowned, and has toured extensively over the years with his own band. Harmonica wizard Jerry Portnoy has toured with Muddy Waters, Bonnie Raitt and Eric Clapton. The Temple Horns, featuring trumpet, alto sax and trombone, has played with Ricky Russell, Solomon Burke and a host of others. This lineup of blues luminaries is not to be missed!

ALYN Woldenberg Family Hospital is Israel's only pediatric and adolescent rehabilitation facility. ALYN treats children with a wide range of congenital and acquired conditions including cerebral palsy, neuromuscular diseases, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, burns, terror and motor vehicle accident victims.
