THE ISRAEL FOLKDANCE FESTIVAL AT MIT’S KRESGE AUDITORIUM, MARCH 15th
Dancing into its thirty-ninth year the Israel Folkdance Festival of Boston will take place on Sunday, March 15, 2015. The Festival will be held at MIT’s Kresge Auditorium in Cambridge at 3:00 p.m. Wherever the Jewish people have lived, they have danced! And the Israel Folkdance Festival of Boston has brought the culture of Israel to life on stage. Eastern European and Yemenite dances, horas and debkas have flown across our stage uniting the diverse strands of Jewish heritage. Once again the Israel Folkdance Festival of Boston will present hundreds of Israeli folk dancers: children and teens, college students and adults together in an afternoon of exuberant dance! Dancers from Boston will be joined by visiting performers in traditional and modern Israeli folk dance. The Israel Folkdance Festival is delighted to announce that Ilene Beckman is our 2015 Festival Honoree of the Year! Visit bostonfestival.org/honoree to learn more about our honoree.
Tickets are $15 with group discounts available. Tickets are available on-line at www.bostonfestival.org Rush tickets are $5 for college students with ID on the day of the Festival, as available.
