The Boston Synagogue along with Eric Cohen, our Rabbinic Intern from Hebrew College, invites Jewish young professionals to join us for a "Learn, Drink & BBQ" on Thursday, September 16th at 7:00 PM.
Along with a variety of drinks, snacks and good conversation with other Young Jewish Professionals in the Boston area, we will discuss the Days of Awe - the period between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
The Days of Awe are traditionally filled with introspective, repentance, and prayer. Interestingly, this is a time when it is traditional for a Jew to make amends for the transgressions of the past year, not just with G-d, but with the other people in their lives.
Do you have a personal plan for the Days of Awe? What meaning will these days hold for you this year?
We invite you to join us for a friendly, casual session where we will learn more about this important time in the Jewish year, and discuss its meaning in the context of our lives as young professionals living and working in Boston.
If you've never visited The Boston Synagogue before, this is a great time to visit us and share a L'Chaim! We are the only full-service synagogue in the downtown area, convenient to Beacon Hill, Charlestown, the North End, and nearby areas.
