It was established in 1931 by four Jewish Community Centers to provide a special camping experience for all those who attend. Situated on the shores of Lake Attitash, Bauercrest is an outdoor community for kids. We surround our campers with their peers, add activities to stretch both physical and creative abilities, and provide positive role models as their counselors. Our camping approach recognizes that kids grow best in a secure and safe environment where within boundaries, they can practice making choices and take risks while being supported by caring adults. Bauercrest campers have fun! Parents are giving their children a gift of a lifetime – growth in their development.
