We run a food drive during the High Holidays to benefit the Grow Clinic at Boston Medical Center.

Temple Hillel B'nai Torah, 120 Corey St,
West Roxbury, MA 02132

We all know the old joke that the holidays are always early or late, but they are never on time. This year, the holidays are so early, they make history.

At Hillel B’nai Torah, we highlight the skills, talents and dedication of our members as an essential part of the High Holy Day services. We invite you to find meaning and purpose as an active participant. Rabbi Penzner will be joined on the bimah by a variety of leaders, readers, speakers, chanters and shofar blowers over the course of our Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services. The engagement of our members gives the Hillel B’nai Torah holiday experience an extra measure of warmth and intimacy. Our rabbi will weave the services together with song and reflection as we encourage personal reflection and at the same time build community relationships.
As always, we seek to make the holy days vital for our children as well as adults. This year, we will be providing a program for all children, from toddlers to grade school students to teens.

The Chapel Service is an independent High Holidays community for people who want a place to celebrate Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur but don't necessarily want to belong to a synagogue year round.
We use a prayer book/machzor by Jules Harlow to provide the structure for the service along with a supplement with transliterations and translations and readings and songs. The service would be recognizable to you if you are used to a Conservative or Reform service. In addition, Rabbi Cherie explains what some of the prayers mean and invites participation in a variety of ways. Congregants lead readings, participate in discussions and share reflections from time to time. If you don't want to speak, you are welcome to sit back and enjoy the service. We want to provide services for everyone who needs them, so we have a suggested registration rate, but we can work with you so you can attend at a price that is comfortable for you. Check out our website for more information.
