Havurah on the Hill: Sukkot in the Sukkah

Start Date/Time: Friday, October 2, 2015 6:30 PM
End Date/Time: Not Applicable
Category: Holidays
Description:

Sukkot in the Sukkah - Friday, October 2 @ 6:30pm
Neither snow nor rain nor gloom of night... Join us this Friday for our annual Shabbat in Sukkah celebration.

The evening begins with a brief, lay-led and non-denominational Shabbat service in the sanctuary, followed by a kosher buffet dinner on the main floor. Bring your meal out to the patio to celebrate the holiday tradition of dining, reclining, and dwelling in the sukkah. Music will also be provided by some of our HOH community members, and you're invited to join in. So bring your drums, trumpets, fiddles, cymbals, voices, and enthusiasm with you.

Schedule of the evening:
6:30pm - Wine and appetizers
7:00pm - Shabbat services
8:15pm - Dinner and singing in the sukkah

New faces are always welcome at Havurah on the Hill so forward this email to your friends and bring them along for the holidays.

Free validated parking is always available for Havurah on the Hill's High Holidays celebrations. The Vilna Shul is also accessible by public transit. Take the MBTA Red Line to Charles/MGH. For complete driving, walking, and public transport directions, please visit the Vilna Shul contact page.
Havurah on the Hill is a non-denominational, egalitarian minyan for Jews in their 20s and 30s in the Boston area. HOH meets at the Vilna Shul in Beacon Hill, one of the last remaining synagogues from the early 20th century wave of Jewish immigration and hosts monthly Kabbalat Shabbat services as well as other special holiday celebrations throughout the year.
