On December 8, 2016 the New England Center for Arts and Technology (NECAT) will host an incredible event featuring renowned Israeli chef, restaurateur and hotelier Uri Jeremias, more affectionately known as Chef Uri Buri. He will travel from Akko, Israel for a delicious one-night only cooking demonstration and dining experience. During his visit, he will also be working with our students, inspiring them with his passion for food and cooking, and teaching them his recipes. The Chef’s visit to NECAT will coincide with the opening of our sister organization, the Akko Center for Arts & Technology in Northern Israel. This event is being supported by the Israeli Consulate of New England and JArts and will raise funds for NECAT.
Trip Advisor just announced Uri Buri’s restaurant as ”2016 Travelers Choice” top fine dining restaurant in the Middle East.
The New England Center for Arts & Technology (NECAT) has a tuition-free, 16-week Culinary Arts Job Training Program that provides chronically unemployed and underemployed adults with a pathway to stable, long-term employment in the food services industry. We teach technical and job readiness skills and provide our students with one-on-one support and career coaching in a beautiful, state-of-the art facility. We work with over 35 social service agencies and 60 employers to help our students access critical wrap-around services and permanent culinary jobs.
