The film Mekonen: Journey of an African Jew, tells the story of Mekonen Abebe, once a shepherd in Ethiopia, now a commander in the Israeli Defense Forces.  The movie traces Mekonen’s journey from his homeland, through his difficult adjustment to Israeli society and his new life as a decorated soldier.  Monday, December 5, 7 pm, Temple Beth Am, Framingham.  Co-sponsored by Framingham-Natick Hadassah and Temple Beth Am.  No charge.
