Taught by Temple Sinai member Dr. Dennis Cerrotti, this Adult Learning course will provide an historical overview of the Jews in Denmark and how they escaped Nazi attempts to capture them in 1943 with the assistance of the Danish people and their political and religious leaders. A major focus will be upon the uniqueness of Danish history, culture, and religion. How did these contribute to a social paradigm which guaranteed the rights and protections of Jews alongside all other citizens and how did that sense of solidarity and singularity of purpose contribute to the actual operations of the rescue. The course will take place over three Sundays, October 19 and 26 and November 2, 2014, 11:00 a.m. – 12:20 p.m. The community is invited to join us. Temple Sinai is a Reform Jewish temple centrally located in Coolidge Corner. Visit us on the web at: www.sinaibrookline.org
