Explore the realm of fiction and nonfiction in a six-week writing class at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton on Tuesdays, beginning January 20 from 6-9pm. Through a series of fun, directed writing exercises, participants will learn how to mine for material, construct characters and settings, shape vivid dialogue, understand point of view, and find their voice. Discussion will center around the process of writing and the strengths and weaknesses of the work produced in class. Geared for both new and practicing writers. Cost is $330.
