Perkins School for the Blind
A hawker of pirated DVDs finds refuge in a Beijing movie theater whos patrons are all blind. As his relationship to the blind community deepens, he encounters love, acceptance and heartbreak in this beautifully shot ode to the power in cinema. Audience Award Winner, Pusan International Film Festival. Directed by Yu Lang, China, 120 minutes, In Mandarin with English Subtitles. Audio Description. Recommended for ages 13 and older.
Screening with: SEEING THROUGH THE LENS, a short film with a big heart produced by Kevin Bright and Jeff Migliozzi, made by the students from the Perkins School for the Blind.
